Payment & Completion Time

A 40% initial payment is required before painting begins, after the size, subject, and design details have been agreed upon.
The remaining 60% is payable after the painting is completed, before shipping or collection.
Paintings usually take 3–12 weeks to complete, starting when painting begins after the cancellation period and approval of all reference materials. Timing depends on size, complexity, and the current commission schedule.

Custom Art Terms & Conditions

1. Order confirmation
Your commission is confirmed once CanvasMax Art accepts your request, the artwork details are agreed upon, and the initial payment is received.

2. Cancellation
You may cancel within 7 calendar days of order confirmation and receive a full refund of the initial payment. Painting will begin after this period. After the 7-day period, the initial payment is non-refundable if you cancel, as it covers reserved studio time, preparation, and materials.

3. Design and reference photographs
Please provide clear reference photographs and describe your preferred subject, colors, style, and canvas orientation before painting begins. You must have permission to use any photographs you submit.

4. Artistic interpretation
Each painting is an original, hand-painted artwork. Brushwork, texture, and small variations are part of its character. Colors may appear slightly different on screens and under different lighting.

5. Changes and revisions
Reasonable minor adjustments may be requested during the final photo review, where practical. A change of subject, composition, canvas size, or other substantial alteration after painting begins may require an additional fee and more time. Any additional charges will be agreed upon before the changes are made.

6. Final review and payment
Photographs of the completed painting will be provided for review. The remaining 60% must be paid before the artwork is shipped or collected.

7. Shipping and framing
Listed prices are for the painting on canvas; framing is not included unless agreed upon. Standard shipping within the United States and Canada is included. Applicable taxes and any special delivery arrangements will be confirmed before payment. Drying, protective finishing, packing, and delivery may require additional time after painting is completed.

8. Returns and delivery damage
Because custom paintings are created to your specifications, returns or exchanges for a change of mind are not accepted after completion. If your painting arrives damaged, contact CanvasMax Art promptly with photographs of the artwork and packaging so we can arrange a suitable resolution.

9. Ownership and reproduction
You own the physical painting after full payment. Copyright and reproduction rights remain with the artist unless otherwise agreed in writing. CanvasMax Art may photograph the artwork for its portfolio or social media. Please request privacy before painting begins if you prefer your commission not to be shared.

10. Unexpected delays
If an unexpected delay affects your commission, CanvasMax Art will contact you with an updated completion estimate.
